I currently offer private Natural Childbirth Classes, as well as Hypnobabies Hypnosis for Childbirth Classes. Natural Childbirth Classes are scheduled on a demand basis so please call for information.

Hypnobabies is a complete childbirth preparation course that teaches the same medical hypnosis techniques used by people who undergo surgery with hypnosis as their only anesthesia. Couples will learn about the stages of birth, prenatal nutrition and exercises, how to stay healthy and low risk, and powerful “Eyes Open” childbirth hypnosis. While in hypnosis, mothers remain aware of everything, can move about freely, and stay very relaxed and comfortable while giving birth. Birth Partners participate in many, many ways.

Benefits of hypnosis for childbirth: Fewer drugs or no drugs at all means less risk of side effects on mother and baby. Shorter labors - resistance of the birthing muscles as a response to pain is minimized or eliminated.An awake, energized mother, due to total relaxation throughout the birthing process. A calm, peaceful birthing environment. Few Interventions and complications during labor. Babies who are better sleepers and nursers due to fewer drugs in their systems.

Hypnobabies Group Class Schedule (Private Classes are also available)

Classes are held in Riva, Maryland (less than 10 minutes south of Anne Arundel Medical Center and Bay Area Midwifery!), or Catonsville, Baltimore.  Each class is 3 hours long and the series runs for 6 weeks.
